Welcome to Dulverton, a small friendly market town in west Somerset, within the boundaries of Exmoor National Park.
Nestling in the shelter of a steep wooded valley,by the banks of the river Barle, it is within easy reach of the M5. Tiverton Parkway railway station is 20 miles away and bus services are linked to the main towns.

There are a good variety of shops, restaurants and inns to suit all tastes. Welcoming accommodation YHA camping barn and an always popular caravan club site. Interested in sport? Cricket, tennis, squash, bowls, horse riding, fishing, all available here. Bring your own bicycle or canoe. Our country lanes have challenging gradients and the rivers moods are ever changing. Wimbleball lake, 6 miles away, also offers further watersport activities.
Exmoor, one of Englands smallest National parks has it's HQ here. One of their National park centres, is in Fore St, providing information on the areas natrual beauty. Woodlands,rippling rivers. Moorland colours ever changing until their finale of purple from August to October. Exmoor ponies, elusive red deer, 416km of footpaths, 600km of bridleways. Waymarked walks from the town are always popular.

Back in Dulverton, the Heritage Centre hosts exhibitions from artists plus ongoing displays of local history,both visual and hands on. An international flavour is added through the twinning association. We are twinned with 3 countries, Zwierzyniec in Poland,St Laurent de Neste in France and Artea in the Basque country, Northern Spain. Back in Fore St, a well stocked library offering not only books and DVD's to borrow but internet access for all.
There are three very active churches here,C of E, Roman Catholic and congregational. Regular services are held in all of them.
