Car Parks.

There are three long stay car parks in Dulverton, Guildhall, Lion stables and Exmoor House.
Each has three disabled bays (free parking for three hours for disabled badge holders).


Charges.

The charges are the same for all three Dulverton Car Parks.

  • 1 Hour............70p
  • 2 Hours.........90p
  • 4 Hours........1.80
  • All day..........3.00

  • Weekly permits......12.00 (available from the machines only)
  • Annual Permits.......75.00.... 6 Monthly permits....40-00

Car Parks,
Conditions of use.


  • Pay and display (In windscreen) 7 Days a week inc Bank Holidays.
  • Tickets are not transferable between Vehicles
  • Charges are active between 8am and 6pm
  • The terms and conditions are for parking in these car parks are contained in the West Somerset Off Street Parking Places Order 1992 ( And conseqently varied. ) a copy can be viewed at West Somerset Council, Williton.


Penalties.
  • An excess charge of 50.00 is incurred for any of the offences listed below.

  • Failure to display a valid ticket.
  • Overstaying the time purchased.
  • Parking of a prohibited vehicle.
  • Not parking within the marked bays.
  • Unauthorised parking in a disabled bay.
  • No caravans or trailers.
  • No overnight sleeping in vehicles or camping.


  • Failure to pay an excess charge will result in prosecution.

  • ALL excess charge enquires in writing to: The Town Clerk.

Conditions of use.


Dulverton also sells permits. Permits are valid from the 1st of February until the 31st of January.

  • The permit is the property of Dulverton Town Council. It authorises use of a parking space in the Dulverton car parks only, but an available space cannot be guaranteed at all times.

  • Vehicles are parked entirely at the owners risk. The council does not accept any liability or responsibility for the custody of the vehicle or articles thereto or contained therein.

  • Vehicles must be parked where required by the attendant.
  • The permit must be displayed on the front windscreen of the vehicle being used. Failure to display can render the holder liable to an excess charge.

  • The permit is only valid during the period stated and for the vehicle permitted and is not transferable.

  • If it appears that the vehicle has not been used in accordance with any of the conditions, the council reserves the right to revoke the permit.

  • The permit is the property of Dulverton Town Council to whom it should be returned when the vehicle is disposed of or otherwise cease to operate. Permit holders may apply for a duplicate if the permit is lost,stolen,destroyed,mutilated or accidently defaced. See charges above.

  • All vehicles must display a valid tax disc. Failure to display can render the holder liable to an excess charge and ultimately the removal of the vehicle.

  • RENEWALS: All current permit holders will be notified in writing two weeks before the permits are due to expire and informed of any new charges.

  • A VAT invoice will be supplied on request.
